Thalia Rojas is a bilingual, Licensed Mastered Social Worker born and raised in New York City to Hispanic parents. As a first-generation college graduate, Ms. Rojas obtained her Master’s Degree in Social work from Silberman School of Social Work in 2021 and has acquired several years of experience through working with families, children, and adults by providing case management and mental health services. Ms. Rojas was accredited her license for mastered social work in 2022.
Working with the Hispanic/Latino and immigrant population, as well as identifying herself as part of the Latino and immigrant population, has brought cultural insight in the way she approaches treatment with clients. As a sociology student Ms. Rojas understands the socioeconomic difficulties of the immigrant population and the difficulties that come with adapting to a new country and the limitations that exist.
Ms. Rojas offers a strength-based approach when working with clients as she believes that everyone has the resilience to face life challenges and pursue healthier ways of living when it comes to emotional and mental health. Facilitating a safe space for clients to openly discuss their issues or concerns is a priority in the sessions she holds. “I’ve chosen this profession in order to help those in need, especially the vulnerable.
