Jessica Martínez is a Master Social Worker, Licensed in New York State. With Ecuadorian-Guatemalan nature, Ms. Martínez has advanced certification in Forensic Social Work. Jessica earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Long Island University. She has been in the field of social work for the last 7 years, working with adolescents, adults and families and applies her experience and knowledge to help anyone in need.
Jessica uses an individual focused approach to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, domestic violence, and substance use disorders using modalities including CBT, DBT, psychoanalysis, motivational interviewing, and art therapy.
Jessica is passionate about working with people in the BIPOC community, people affected by intergenerational trauma and cycles of violence.
Jessica believes therapy is an opportunity to allow yourself to be the best version of yourself. Jessica uses an integrative approach to help empower and motivate clients to reach their full potential. Jessica values the importance of building rapport with clients in order to establish a successful therapeutic relationship. Jessica understands that everyone expresses themselves differently and incorporates hands-on activities when necessary. Jessica’s friendly personality allows clients to feel comfortable and safe receiving her therapy.
