Elizabeth Alanis graduated from Fordham University in New York, receiving her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a Specialization in Children and Families in 2005. After graduation, she continued her postgraduate studies in the following areas:
One year of training by the Minuchin Institute in Structural Family Therapy 2005-2006.
One year of specialization in Trauma and Depression from 2006-2007.
One year of specialization in Disruptive Behavior Problems from 2007-2008 using Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy that was provided by the New York State Department of Mental Health and Columbia University.
One year of training in the Professional Psychoanalysis Program at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies from 2008-2009
2017-2019 Postgraduate Certificate in Jungian Psychology from the Center for Applied Jungian Studies in Johannesburg, South Africa

Elizabeth offers psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy modalities using various techniques and expertise. Her areas of specialization include but are not limited to treatment of trauma, behavior problems, depression, anxiety, and more.
Therapy for families and parents can focus on areas such as: discipline, family trauma, relationship conflict, communication problems, marital conflict, and domestic violence. Elizabeth provides her services in Spanish and English.
